The Heathcote Botanical Gardens is a hidden jewel that located in the Heart of and near downtown Fort Pierce Florida. This is an amazingly well laid out garden of beauty and wonder, as it designed for both adults and youth alike. The Children's garden is full of detail and imagination and provides an Incredible information and knowledge to educate all. The bonsai garden is filled with many splendid examples of variety of miniature trees, many over 50 years old.. That will amaze everyone as to their beauty, history, and sculpture! Close to interstate 95 Fort Pierce is well worth the stop as are many other historical places in this Town!

When I enter the lady who created me was friendly and spoke passionately about the gardens. She gave me a map and pointed out all to see. If you love bonsai this place is a must see. Largest bonsai display in the U.S.! It was AMAZING.

Lovely relaxing surroundings. Houses the largest collection of Bonsai in the United States what a find. There is a small garden designed for children, plus a collection of plants which attract butterflies.

Heathcote was the setting for the best day of our lives, and we could not have chosen better! My husband and I got married here in November, and it was everything we had hoped for and more. We had to plan our wedding remotely from Tennesee due to having family in Florida who couldn't travel. Tara, Thad and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to help us, our guests, and vendors get familiar and comfortable with the gardens. They went so far above and beyond for us in the planning phase. When we arrived in town, just days before our wedding to see the gardens for ourselves, we were blown away on every front. The gardens surpassed our expectations in every way. It's absolutely stunning, tranquil, and has so many interesting features and displays. We instantly knew we had chosen the right place. I can't say enough about the gardens or the staff - thank you to the entire Heathcote team!

A wonderful afternoon! Its a great area for a picnic, date or events. There is several bubbling fountains, lots of shade, and seating areas. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The gift shop has local craftsman, and cute gifts. I wish I could go in December when they have the lights.
